Stacking the Shelves

Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books we are adding to our shelves, whether they be physical or digital. This includes books bought (my wife would say I buy too many), borrowed (a rare occurrence), and received for review (which I’m trying to reign in).

New Acquisitions: Paperback Treasures

Not for lack of trying, or for lack of shopping, but no new purchases this week.

New Acquisitions: Digital Titles

A pretty quiet week on the digital front as well, although I did snag an eclectic bunch of freebies. Metamorphosis is a trans-themed fantasy by Raquel Swann that sounds thoughtful and fantastic; a handful of female domination titles by Rowen Grey (which are collected in her Omnibus if you want them all at once); Free-Wrench by Joseph Lallo, a steampunk fantasy with a strong female protagonist; Royally Strapped, the first chapter of Royally Bound, an epic futanari fantasy from Kelsey Fraley; and a trio of weird, furry, monster erotica titles from Helen Arlet featuring cats, snails, and bunnies.

Review Titles

Nothing physical in the mail this week, but I did get approved for a pair of NetGalley titles.

The Fortress is a story by S.A. Jones about a society run and populated exclusively by women, and the man who agrees to spend a year as their supplicant in order to save his marriage. It’s being called a damning judgement on patriarchy that reshapes the narrative of gender and power.

Uncharted by Robyn Nyx is LGBT romantic adventure about an antiquities dealer, an archaeologist, and their search for a legendary artifact. This one had me at archaeologist, and being twice female-fronted makes it a must-read for me.
