I always find what reviews are best received across different mediums to be fascinating, as it points to different audience segments being engaged. A good mix this week, but Alina Boyden definitely came out on top:
- Most read on the blog – Stealing Thunder by Alina Boyden
- Most liked on Goodreads – If It Bleeds by Stephen King
- Most reach on Facebook – Unconquered Warrior by J.L. Nicely
- Most liked on Twitter – Stealing Thunder by Alina Boyden

Features and guests this month included an excerpt from TO SLEEP IN A SEA OF STARS by Christopher Paolini, a guest post from Dean Wyant (PSI-WARS) on Visions, Reading, Inspiration and Writing, and a press release for The A to Z of Horror.
Look Ahead: June
While I hesitate to look too far ahead, since my reading is dictated as much by my whims and desires of the moment as by release dates, I somehow managed to read every single one of last month’s anticipated titles. I’m kind of impressed with myself, I won’t lie.
Reviews I’m (reasonably) confident you can expect to see this month include:
- Red Noise by John P Murphy (releases June 9th)
- We Ride the Storm by Devin Madson (I’m about 300 pages in and enjoying it)
- Afterland by Lauren Beukes (I don’t know that I can wait until July)
- Warrior Rising by J. L. Nicely (the first book was fantastic)
- A Little Light Mischief by Cat Sebastian (a novella I’d like to fit in)
- Brightblade by Michael Suttkus & C.T. Phipps (I’m long overdue for a review of this)
- Beholder’s Eye by Julie E. Czerneda (technically a re-read, but it counts)
- The Femdom Felony by Thomas Moffatt (I’m eager to give this a read)
- Every Sky a Grave by Jay Posey (releases July 7th)

As for features and guests, my spot on the Hope Island blog tour was postponed so hopefully we can catch up in June; I’ll be taking part in the Feisty Heroines tour; I’ve got a spot on the The Harbinger tour with Mary Eicher; I’ll be joining the Blood World tour with Chris Mooney; B.C. Locke will be sharing something on King’s Signet; and, fingers crossed, Mark Ravine will be stopping by to talk The Tech.
Oh no, Red Noise is a June release? I thought I had captured all my June books in my post today but I left one out😭
