Stacking The Shelves is all about sharing the books we are adding to our shelves, whether they be physical or digital. This includes books bought (my wife would say I buy too many), borrowed (a rare occurrence), and received for review (which I’m trying to reign in).
New Acquisitions: Paperback Treasures
A few more packages arrived in the mail this week, two long-awaited shipments and the other a pair of birthday gift-card purchases.

Those 2 birthday gift-card purchases were Femdom Felony by Thomas Moffatt, a Canadian-set murder mystery involving the BDSM community (I have a digital review copy, but wanted the paperback) and When Women Rule by Anna Ritter, in which the men of Crystal Canyon find themselves losing their free will (to go with my digital copy of American Matriarchy).
Feast of the King’s Shadow fills another gap in my Outremer collection by Chaz Brenchley (one last book in the mail), while Star Maidens by Ian Evans is a long-sought-after copy of a 1970s sci-fi novel about the planet Medusa where all men are subordinates to the Star Maidens.
Magic Casement, Faery Lands Forlorn, and Perilous Seas are the first 3 books of A Man of His Word by Dave Duncan (with one still in the mail), an early 90s epic fantasy saga that I somehow missed when it first came out.
Review Titles
A trio of review titles this week…

My Girlfriends are Pirate Elves: Book 2 is the latest by Eden Redd, a chance to revisit with Jon, Lilly and their crew of sexy misfits on the journey of relationships and adventure.
Captain Moxley and the Embers of the Empire is a long-awaited title by Dan Hanks, the story of ex-Spitfire pilot Captain Samantha Moxley who finds herself dragged into a fight against the shadowy US government agency she used to work for, with former Nazis and otherworldly monsters on her trail, forced into protecting her archaeologist sister in a race to retrieve two ancient keys that will unlock the secrets of a long-lost empire.
New Acquisitions: Digital Titles

The first book was so much fun. I’m part of Eden’s beta read group on Facebook, so early access. 😊

I really need to try Dave Duncan’s books sometime… And ooh, I picked up Captain Moxley last week. I was sold by the archaeology part, ahaha. I’m a sucker for any plots that feature archaeology, for some reason. Here’s hoping it’s as good as it sounds!
My STS/weekly roundup post.

100% agreed on the archaeology – that’s what caught my eye in the original press release. 🙂
I feel bad that I’ve never read Duncan given that he’s Canadian so this seems a perfect start.
