Review Titles

An quiet week on the review front, with only the 2 new additions.

The Bone Maker [March 9, 2021] by Sarah Beth Durst is a standalone epic fantasy set in a brand-new world of towering mountains and sparkling cities, in which a band of aging warriors have a second chance to defeat dark magic and avenge the haunting loss of their leader’s husband.

Hematoma by Matteo Polk is A dangerous and erotic S&M vampire thriller filled with enigmatic characters, an enthralling plot, a secret vampire organization, and a plethora of blood, bruises, pain and pleasure in the kink department.

New Acquisitions: Digital Titles

A few interesting acquisitions on digital front this week . . .

Catalyst, book 1 of The Second Cycle by Solstice Locke, caught my eye with the promise of a steampunk world of enchantments and secrets, a slow-burn romance, and strong lesbian characters.

His Runaway Heart by K. Ramsuer is one I nearly skipped over based on the cover, but my eye caught the second line of the blurb – “He had no markings, no collar, no way for anyone to tell where he’s supposed to go.” – and I was immediately intrigued.

The Orb by James Missaglia, on the other hand, I clicked on precisely because of its striking cover. A dystopian future, an innocent woman, and a sadistic technician sounded interesting has me curious.
